Wooden plaques
Wooden plaques are a great choice to be placed on outdoor structures. The material can be easily etched or engraved and you are guaranteed that the etching or engraving will not fade or deteriorate over time. Wood is also ideal for name plates and other name boards depicting place names or other information. Wooden plaques can also be used on a wall of fame showing the names of people or events that may be important to the place or structure. Numbers and names of apartments or buildings look better etched on wood. Wood is also hard wearing and will not easily deteriorate in less than ideal conditions.

Schools, universities, companies big and small as well as military institutions still give out plaques as rewards for the simple reason that people want to receive recognition for their hard work.
Whether on the golf course, as a hockey team, as the best estate agent of the company, top salesman, highest academic achiever or chess player, people want more than certificates, book prizes and cash. They want plaques where their names are displayed and as such plaques will always be appreciated by teams, departments, kids, soldiers, athletes, and employees alike.
