At the end of each rugby game a short ceremony is held where the winning team and man of the match are rewarded for their efforts on the rugby field. The awards for the rugby team normally include a trophy that is kept by the winning team. The man of the match can receive a smaller trophy, a medal or a plaque as well as cash reward for putting his body on the line for 80 minutes of game play. Other winning team members can also receive an award for any special role that they have played such as scoring the most tries or consistently good play.

It is important to hold a rugby team awards ceremony at the end of each rugby season to reward each player for their contribution to the team. You can award a team member for anything from being the most enthusiastic player on the team to the person that has scored the most points in a season. Trophies, medals and plaques can be moulded to any shape or design to depict the manner of the award and can be individually engraved. If your players know that there is a reward waiting for them, they will play harder for their team and achieve more.
